PMMA (Polymethyl Methacrylate)
Commonly known as acrylic or plexiglass. Core features: excellent optical performance with light transmittance up to 92%, clearer than ordinary glass. Light‑weight and tough, its impact strength is 7‑18 times that of glass. It has superior weather resistance and resists yellowing and aging under long‑term outdoor exposure. It is easy to process by injection molding and thermoforming. Its main drawbacks are low surface hardness susceptible to scratches and moderate heat resistance (typical service temperature ranges from 80‑95 °C).
